Karl Zéro

Wednesday is the day for refreshing the "Tune de la Semaine" feature of the Daily Blague (under the thumbnail to the right), but I didn't get round to it yesterday. I don't call attention to the Tunes as a rule, but I'm making an exception this week because I'm hoping that someone will tell me just who Karl Zéro is. His cheeky retro album, Songs for Cabriolets and Otros Tipos de Vehiculos is one of my favorites: beautifully produced but totally preposterous.

Karl Zero is a french broadcaster, he has a show on Canal+ TV channel every Sunday which mix real news and fake ones with dubious results (in my opinion).

This is one of my favorite recordings and one of my favorite memories is listening to it with you the first of many, many times. I laugh afresh, heartily, every time. I laugh just thinking of it. There are very few people I know, even here in this highly educated if over-serious town, who are capable of "getting it." Jean RUAUD, what more than that Karl Zero is a broadcaster can you tell us? Is his show like The Daily Show? I gather he's not as funny on TV as he is hilarious on this compilation of goofy classics. Thanks for the big, big smile on my face RJ. Now, where's my own copy of this disque?
