Happy Fourth
As a contribution to the national holiday, I'd like to offer my Fourth of July Game, which you can play only twice - now and next year. But who knows? The game is very simple: make a list of unconstitutional horrors that you are sure lie beyond even the reach of the Bush-Cheney axis of inc"evil"ity. Then sit back and wait to be unpleasantly surprised!

Honestly RJ, I am simply waiting to have GWB declare himself dictator for life at this point. I am sure all that will happen then will be some handwringing and then everyone will settle back in front of their TV's, since it must be okay, we live in the United States.

Sad to say, we get the leaders (!) we deserve. I hope that SOMEONE decides to follow the investigations even after Bush quits office and holds him and his henchmen accountable, if only as a cautionary tale for the future. Doubtful though, given the American fear of regicide. In a world where people breathlessly await Paris Hilton's next non-event, and the average Joe can still be found to actually support letting Scooter Libby off from jail time, I have little hope. I think cell phones and I-Pods are among the "drugs" invented to push us all into a "1984" kind of world.
