At My Kitchen Table: Lemonade

Kathleen is crazy about lemonade. She likes it very, very tart. I've taken up making a quart of it for her every weekend. As Kathleen does not care for cold beverages, I leave the container on the counter. Kathleen drinks it all long before it spoils.

Ingredients: five or six lemons, a third of a cup of sugar, and water. Some cooking involved!

Lemonade.

Funny, I've been thinking about lemonade for the past couple of days, and I actually have one of those lever, hand powered juicers. I myself go for the superfine sugar.

Dear RJ,

I've been catching up on your blogs, and they have helped me tonight. How beautiful your life seems.

In one of them you refer to your having found your calling. It seems to have given you great peace.

I think I found my calling at age 19. I decided the life that I could lead worth living to me was one of study, reading, and writing. What the Net has done is enabled me to reach a few others through writing.

But I have not found peace.
I surmize that your peace comes from social circumstances of your life
as well as your presence here online.

Ellen
