At My Kitchen Table: Tomato Soup

It's a beautiful day, and I'm going to take it off. What I am not going to do (probably) is purée this mixture of tomatoes, apples, onions, broth, and seasonings.

What was I thinking, making a vat of tomato soup in April? They do say, though, that it's going to get chilly in the middle of the week. I'll have the soup ready by then.

Do you always leave the labls on your onions? a magical extra ingredient?

Or is the label a patent mark or copyright for your recipe?

Really dear, you must pull the "4017" stickers off before you pop the onions in the pot, they just don't cook well at all. If you must display them, put them on little place cards, eh?
