Nurse!

Fossil Darling (né PPOQ) just called from the desk with the following "question."

Johann Sebastian,

How long is your passion?

This was followed up by the brilliant, music-lover's query, "Is the St Matthew Passion long?"

Did I ever tell you that Fossil is deaf? Yes, he is.

Calumny!!!!

Too much typing has left our beloved Editor befuddled.

I simply wanted to be reminded how long the piece is (I rememebr it as long, but never as long as Mozart) as the performance begins at 7PM on Saturday and I am debating whether or not LXIV would enjoy it. I almost never listen to Bach but did see a sterling performance of this work a decade ago with the Editor, under the great Masur.

Deaf? Hah! Sensible is more like it.

If Fossil Darling is deaf- I must be blind. When I first read this entry I thought it said "John Sebastian" and all I could think of was The Loving Spoonful and "Summer in the City"... a far cry from the St. Matthew Passion.
