Loose Link

My correspondent, Empress in Pittsburgh, sent me a link that has been keeping my cheeks wet (I cry when I'm amused). "Microsoft designs the iPod package."  Does anybody know where the music came from? It's so - catchy-Khatchaturian! And I know I've heard it before.

That music is fab! It's the kind of thing I'd put on to help me clean the house faster.

I can't help with the music, but the video was produced by Microsoft itself.

A news report March 16 said:

'According to Microsoft spokesman Tom Pilla, the video was "...an internal-only video clip commissioned by our packaging [team] to humorously highlight the challenges we have faced RE: packaging and to educate marketers here about the pitfalls of packaging/branding'."

Does this mean Microsoft will change its ways? A therapist might have something to say about the gap between insight and change.

I think the music is from the Monthy Python Show. I'm not sure though but close.

I am a kottke.org micropatron
