I am very much looking forward to carefully listening (not attempting to listen while at work) to this later this week. I am still haunted by this book. It is definitely one that should be revisited.

Many thanks for the link; this is one of my favorite novels. I agree that it is a book that is, in many ways, more satisfying the second time around. I only wish that one could find a similar link to a discussion with Ishiguro of The Unconsoled, one of the most frustrating, but fascinating, books I've ever read.
