Last Night at the Plaza

Plaza02.jpg

If you know the whereabouts of this exiled Central American caudillo, please buy him a new necktie, but don't tell his sainted mother about the one that he's wearing; the lapse would kill her.

Just kidding, dearest. It took forever, but I finally got Ms NOLA's roll of film to the developer, and finally picked up the prints. (You may recall that I was very careful to take my digital camera's case to Kathleen's birthday party, but that I was also idiotic enough to neglect to put the digital camera into it.)

More shots of the usual suspects follow.

What a lovely night it was.

Hi. I think you have a really nice blog. [Read More]

The silk tie the Caudillo was wearing was issued in limited numbers by Tabasco to commemorate their 150th anniversary. Since your idea of a flashy tie is self-evident, I could never expect you to appreciate the beauty of the 'T' ties I have. And kindly refer requests for permission to exhibit fotos of any Arguello Manning Solorzano Montealegre to our publicity agent before exposing us to the unwanted glare of la publicite! la publicite!

That necktie! And bittersweet memories of having been the past object of affection (gobs of it one night, you might remember) from the wearer. My principle douleur however stems from not being in a position currently to have written the title of this posting. My secondary douleur comes from missing the nefarious characters pictured. My tertiary douleur comes from not yet having met one of them, although it is eminently pleasing to finally put a face to a name, Ms NOLA!

Ah yes, I remember it well..............you wore a gown of gold,

I was all in blue

Am I getting older??

No no not you....

I love PPOQ's tie! Keep up the Louisiana representation!

Susan, when are you coming back to NYC? I have heard many stories, but would love to meet you.

I am a kottke.org micropatron
