Loose Links: Week of 24 October
ΒΆ Took all the way to Friday to find something fun: Drag queen Shirley Q. Liquor sings along with the old Winston Cigarette commercial. A prime memory. Teachers across the land railed so vehemently against the misuse of "like" in the cigarette's jingle - "Winstons taste good, like a cigarette should" - planted a lifelong mistrust of the shape-shifting word, and I usually write my way around it.
